I want to use tiffany blue in my wedding. I don't want to go over board with the Tiffany's theme. I'm thinking of doing a tiffany box cake and card box. Everything else and I will just use that color.
What color can I match it with for a summer wedding? I'm looking for attire details, reception ideas (mainly table set ups, centerpieces, flowers, etc) I'm also looking for stationary details.
I'm not really looking for favors. I've decided to do a candy buffet w/ blue chinese takeout style boxes.

Tiffany Blue Wedding?
Tiffany blue is gorgeous... and you have so many options!! As mentioned above you can pair TB with pretty much any color you like. In my experience, pairing TB with silver, or white is the best!!
I had a bride who had tea-length real simple TB bridesmaid dresses... her girls carried hand-tied bouquets of white daises with silver accents in the flowers. It sounds so simple, but it was gorgeous.
Some table scape ideas... well that really depends on how you invision your wedding. One of my brides used antique candleabras (silver) with candles and those blue glass chips that you can purchase to put into vases scattered on the tables... another bride used beach glass (pieces of glass that have weathered in the ocean/lake) in containers with all different size candles in the middle.
TB is hard with flowers... because there are not many flowers that are naturally blue. Therefore you must pick flowers that accent the blue rather than match it. I recommend using wild-flower looking bouquets in very pale colors... with alot of greenery. Sage and TB are GORGEOUS together. ...
As for your stationary... I am very simple when it comes to invitations... having a plain white invitation with a TB accent ribbon would be elegant and sophisticated. I love Jean M. (www.myjeanm.com)

Reply:Someone on the show Whose Wedding is it? I think that the name of the show. They did a Tiffany blue theme wedding. They had accent color in red with like flowers in the background. Reply:Sorry we are all in different parts of the world. I have never heard of Tiffany Blue, have 5 friends here and neither have they. Little bit of explaining to get good answers perhaps???
Reply:Pair it up with an espresso brown or a daffodil yellow. Both would look wonderful, without looking too girly for your fiance.

Perhaps add a grassy green for accents.
If you want brown I would go with tan or champagne. I think chocolate brown would look too much like fall.
Purple is another option.
If you want something unique and sophisticated go with a red-violet or an apple red.
Adding orange would be a completmentary color scheme and the two colors would pop off each other for a more intense look.
The best advice I can give is to go to the hardware store. Get a bunch of paint chips then go home with your fiancee and pull the colors that appeal to you then try them together until you get the mood you are looking for.
Reply:I am doing a Tiffany blue shower for my sister, Tiffany. I have the Tiffany box cake. The table centerpieces are two boxes diagonaly stacked wrapped in the TB wrapping paper with a big white bow. We even got little faux engagement rings to sprinkle on the tables as decoration. As far as bridesmaid dresses, I think that chocolate brown, silver or even black would complement the color.

When being invited to a wedding, would it be ok to match the dress to the brides themed colour?
Shes having the bridesmaid in pink (brides flowers also pink) and groom in a delicate beige. However, even thou i have no role and just as present as a guest. When coming to buy an dress for the occasion, should i follow the theme, or dress a different colour. If so, please recommend me a link for a nice dress, thats ideal for mid - 20 blonde blue eyed. Skinny size 8 and top heavy. Any links would be appreciated.

I purchased a laura Ashley comforter and I haven't had it very long(6months),when I washed it ,the material has pils on it and since then I have washed it again and I see more. I have to tell you that I am very dissappointed in the quality of the set. I buy your merchandise because I had faith in the name and quality. The comforter set is white with pretty blue flowers.

The website to our reception and ceremony site is www.celebrationsweddings.com- I really like the aqua blue/tiffany blue color. Also, I really like the idea of using lemons for centerpieces since it is bright for summer and lemons are cheaper than flowers. Therefore, I am considering doing a aqua blue/tiffany blue and lemom yellow wedding theme. I would use the blue for the linens and then yellow as the accent color. How does that sound? Do you think that is a nice color combo? Anyone have any pictures that I could use for ideas for the wedding? any ideas at all would be nice. Thank You.

I think that it is a refreshing color palette together. The lemons as centerpieces would look great. I would do something like the sliced lemons in a square glass bowl with white cheap flowers on top or something...

Reply:lol those are the colors I used for my first wedding....it was a summer wedding and it looked so pretty, fresh and sunny, ( my blue was a sky blue with the lemon yellow),especially with the white of my wedding gown...and I married the last sat in june as well.......good choice and I know you'll love it...good luck.
Reply:I think a cornflower blue and a nice pale yellow would be better and more timeless. in a few years you will look back at pics of at bright yellow and aqua and think, that looks really outdated.
Reply:My first thought was EW!! But then I remembered that Blue and Yellow are healing colors together. I agree with the woman who said, check your blue shades carefully. A purplish blue will go so much better than a greenish blue!

Are blue and silver colour themes too cold for an Autumn wedding?
My fiance and I aren't keen on oranges (traditional autumnal colours) and both of us are big fans of the sea %26amp; watersports, so we were thinking of a blue / silver theme to our wedding - his tie / flowers / any ribbons etc we might have.
Do you think these colours would be too cold at this time of year? We're hoping to get married around the Gold Coast, perhaps North or South Stradbroke Island?
As I'm a Brit, I'm not really sure what the weather / temp is like over there in Autumn (April to be specific)

April is a funny time on the Gold Coast. Can be warm or freezing - just depends on your luck!
I say, if you like the colours blue and silver, then go with what you like.
If you're going to be near the ocean, the blue will be gorgeous.

It's not like your dressing up for Halloween!! Or you could do this to balance out the both!! You could have your wedding cerimony in blue and silver in the church, or where every you are having the cerimony, then decorate the place, where you go and party with your family after getting married at, with the Autumn colors!! That way you are not stuck, having to decide what to do!! I say, it's your very Happy day, in getting married to the women that you love, so you really should do what ever makes her happy hon!! Congrates man, and be good to her, and she'll be good to you too!! Take care!!
