My colors light (ice) blue and silver. Help.?
Firstly, congratulations.

As for your actual wedding your colour scheme sounds lovely and I'm sure there are many ideas that you could come up with for the flowers and decorations. When is your wedding? If it is in the winter months you could have a winter themed wedding with white and ice blue flowers surrounded by candles and you could incorporate the silver by using silver flatware and cutlery, or silver menus and candlesticks as well as surrounding the venue in fairy lights.

However, these colours could also work very well if you are holding your wedding at any other time of the year. Ice blue flowers go well with ivory or white flowrs and they can also be mixed with darker blue shades.

Christina Aguilera had a winter themed wedding using blues and white and you can find pictures on some of the fan based websites dedicated to her. Also you could do a image search on some search engines such as google or yahoo and just type in 'ice blue and silver theme weddings' or 'blue and silver theme weddings' or something like that and you should be able to get some ideas off that. Also you could just look on some florists websites and see if hey have any ideas.

As for your hair styles you could either wear it in a classic updo to enhance your shoulders or you could wear you hair down in loose curls with a tiara or headpiece. As for your bridesmaids alternate their hair to yours - i.e if yours is up have their hair down and vice versa. again you could find some good ideas on the internet or in hair magazines that you can buy at the shops.

I hope this is of some help for you and good luck with the wedding.
Reply:I got a lot of information from theknot.com. They have galleries of photos you could look through to get ideas. Good luck!
Reply:For your flowers, your local florist would be the best consultant. I used blue as one of my colors, but it was a royal blue, so i had delphinans in my bouquet. But a light blue will be hard to find a flower that is naturally that color, you may end up with white flowers, which are just as nice. If you do the bouquet type that is like are regular one, the stims can be wrapped in ribbon the color of your dresses. unless you want the big draping kind of arrangement, that hangs over your hands. I did the first kind, so i could show off my rings. Or you can do the kind that you have to cradle like a beauty queen. These are large, and harder on the maid of honor to hold two.

Usually you can find out what style of hair dues are in for the type of dresses you have with your bridal magazines. I would say up dues, to accent the neck line, make sure everyone is wearing the same jewelry. Sometimes a magazine is easier to use for ideas. I didn't use the web, but that was years ago. Good luck with your wedding. Hope i was somewhat helpful.
Reply:You are more than likely going to have to pick flowers that compliment those colors, rather than match them because there are not many flowers in those colors. The blue hydrangeas are sometimes light enought that they may compliment or match well. I have seen a hydrangea bouquet in a book and fell in love with it. Also you could always pick a 3rd complimenting color that would bring a little warmth to the ice blue and silver, like a deep blue. That could help you tie in the colors of flowers and pick decorations. You can always use the Yahoo image search feature to look up flowers and hairstyles, that is how i picked the flowers for my wedding. Is it a winter wedding? Hope this helped! Good luck and congratulations!
Reply:Since you are going with a winter theme, keep that in the decorations and the centrepieces - crystals, snowflakes, etc. Flowers should be fun, you will probably have to have some sprayed to get those colours, or use silk flowers, berries, etc.

Have fun with all this!
Reply:I would ask wherever you got the bridesmaids dresses at for a swatch of fabric so you can match the colors up. They I would to the the florist and show her/him and ask them for their advice. They were very helpful with my sister's "odd" shade of red that she choose. As for you hair, just make an appointment with you stylist BEFORE your wedding and play with it.
Reply:theknot.com, brides.com, david'sbridal.com all these are websites that help me find the things that i needed for my wedding.
Reply:Wow, those are the same colors in my wedding. I found in terms of flowers, these websites helped a great deal...

http://stockweddings.com/catagories/bouq... %26amp; http://weddings.lovetoknow.com/wiki/Pict... (you can also google pictures of wedding bouquets and get more). I am currently getting my flowers together and what I did was print all of the bouquet pictures I liked and I plan on sitting down with the florist and discuss prices. As for hairstyles, I would go with chignons for the bridesmaid and it depends on your veil how your hair should be. Good luck and congrats!!!!
Reply:As for flowers, blue and white carnations would be beautiful with light blue and silver ribbon tied to the bouquets. For hair up do's would be pretty or partial up do with sides or part of the back flowing. Google bridal bouquets to get some pictures. Most florist, if using real flowers, or craft shops, if using silk, can make any arrangement you want if you tell them the colors of flowers they can help you choose and they have books with pictures to help you choose the perfect style for you. Congrats.
Reply:it will depend on when you wedding is. night/day or season. If you are getting married near x-mas, I would do snowflakes in both colors and use silver garland around candles on mirrors for the centerpieces. If you are getting married sooner, then I would look for candles about the same color of blue and put them on the table with silver glitter and confetti on each. You can also have carnations dyed to match anything now. Good luck and congrats.
