We have to learn that in this life we can't always get what we would like. The other suggestions about finding a job and buying, or at least offering to help to buy, a horse are good ideas. Maybe you could just go to a stable and help out for free to show how interested you are in horses. Remember though, that it's not just the cost of buying a horse, you also have to pay for stables and feed, also vet bills if your horse becomes ill.

VeronicaB, before you start dissing people about their writing, I suggest that YOU learn to spell,

the right write is write not wright.
Reply:Hi. I know exactly how you feel. When I was a kid, I begged my parents for a horse but they thought they were too dangerous. Are you old enough to work or volunteer at a stable so you could demonstrate to your Dad how serious you are about a horse? You didn't say why your Dad said no. Is it because they are expensive? If that is the case, you may have to wait until you are old enough to work. Is it because horses can be dangerous? Your first horse should be older and "kid safe". Don't make the same mistake I did and buy a horse based on looks alone. In the meantime, ask your Dad for riding lessons! Good luck. Someday you will get a horse, I did.
Reply:You have to get a place to store the horse first- like a stabel.
Reply:I would advise your dad to give you a hard slap for being such a spoilt little brat.
Reply:ask him if will at least let you take riding lessons %26amp; work on a farm so you can be around horses
Reply:Hi Blue, When I was a little girl I wanted a horse so much that I couldn't think of anything else. My friends thought I was weird. Don't give up your dreams. The idea of working at a stable is a good one. There is a lot you have to learn about horses. If your Dad sees that you are committed to riding and that you are responsible enough to take care of a horse, he might change his mind. You must realize that a horse is a huge responsibility. If you have a pasture you still must feed him twice a day, insure that he has at least 30 gallons of water every day, worm him every 3 months, have his teeth floated, and his hoofs seen to by a farrier. You don't get to leave him alone because you are bored with him either.Your dad knows you better than we do, and he probably has good reason for saying "no". Study about horses for now, take every opportunity to be around them. If you can find rental horses(like at the beach), get your dad to take you riding. Have you ever ridden a horse? After your dad sees you fall off and then get back up on it's back, maybe he'll see you are ready.
Reply:well that isn't gonna work, also quit being a little lazy butt! get a job, work, save money thats what i did and i'm about to move my paint in today. so good luck
Reply:I suggest that you get a job and buy the horse yourself.
Reply:whats wrong with your old horse?? its very unfair to any animal to be neglected....

and calling our dad "stuben old dad"? stuben isnt even a word.. learn some spelling first..

anyhow its not up to your parents to get you anything other than food shelter and clothing... you can save your money and move out and buy whatever kind of horse you want then.. horses are expensive and its not something you can "beg and beg" for - infact if you really wanted one you would go out now and get a part time job to help pay for one...

I wanted a horse when I was younger too.. eventually moved out and bought 4
Reply:Your dad is not stupid. Horses cost money (feed, vet bills, farrier bills, boarding fees, etc.). I know I've owned horses. I suggest if you want the horse that bad find a job and save up the money yourself. That what I did when I got my first horse, my parents would by me one. I have owned four horses since. Also go find a stable to work at. A lot of stables will hire people to clean stalls and groom horses and often times will have horses that they will let you ride when your done with your work. I no longer own horses but I work with horses everyday at the racetrack I work at and the trainers I work for sometimes let me ride their pony horse when I'm done. Its a way for me to enjoy horses with out the financial burden of owning my own horses.
Reply:get a job, collect cash and buy it for yourself. if your family has no money then dont be such a selfish prat....diy:)

by the way:

i want to buy a new horse, stubborn old dad and so on:) learn to wright for Gods sake:)
Reply:well you can ask your mom or dad and say i will save up as much money as it cost. i know i have 1 Steuben appaloosa, and then i have 1 more good Appaloosa if you get a chase to get a horse i would ride, groom, and get to know the horse really good so it won't ack up on you
Reply:save up enough for the horse that you want
Reply:your father is NOT stupid just becuase he won't give you what you want right now. He may have very good reasons:

1) your family cannot afford to buy and keep a horse right now

2) you may not be responsible enough yet to own such a noble animal
