How should I do my make up for prom?

My dress is purple with aqua flowers and beading, strapless, full length with a slit on the left side. My eyes are light blue. Hair is dark brown and curly (which will be in an up-do). And I'm pale with sensitive skin. Wearing silver jewelry and shoes. I don't usually wear that much make up and I'm saving money by doing the make up myself, I just don't know what to do. Help please?

How should I do my make up for prom?
I would say use a silver eyeshadow or a lavendar to accent the dress. Very light blush, and a subtle mauve gloss or lipstick. If you go with lipstick, put clear gloss on top to get a nice shine. You dress sounds lovely.
Reply:...as they say...less is best...if you have gr8 skin then dont bother with the foundation....actually just a light coating of a touch of bronzing powder should give you a touch of color....lipgloss and eyeshadow should be gr8 too.....have a blast!!

Reply:i would say put ur curly hair in a updo and then add some pins in it like white pins and then leave to crls out in the front and then for ur make up some silver eyeshadow eyeliner chocolate eyeliner and curling masacara and blush but not too much and wear like a plum color of blush and wear some pinkish lipgloss and carry it with you just in case it wears off...have fun at ur prom
Reply:If you are not used to wearing make up you want to definitely avoid looking over-done. I suggest a soft brown on your lids (it will bring out your blue eyes believe it or not), with a dark brown eyeliner, but only put it on part of your eyelids that are far away from your nose, and then blend them well. Then apply a highlighter eye clolor (cream or white) to under your brows to make you eyes look larger. Then curl your lashes and apply either a black or a very dark brown mascara. Then a light pink blush on your cheeks (use the biggest brush possible, the little ones that come with the blush will give you a streaky look) Then for your lips use a sheer pink lip gloss, lipstick will probably make you feel too made up. You can use foundation if you want, but make sure that it matches the back of your hand and you blend well, using facial moisturizer. Make sure you practice at least once before! The trick is too look elegant and classic!
Reply:A purple or lavender eyeshadow would be perfect to blend with the color of your dress, at the same time highlight your blue eyes because you want to choose a contrasting color yet something that still blends with your eye color. With fair skin you can wear a dramatic color for lipstick. I would probably go with something rosy to offset what your wearing and it sounds like with your complexion you definitely have the cool skin undertones. Choose a blush that blends with your skin tone but stay away from anything too red that would clash with your purple outfit. Something more pink or purples vs. red or orange. Reply:go to marykay.com...they have this virtual make up thingy and you just select someone with your appox. skin tone and try out different looks and colors...then dup it...MK is xpensive!
Reply:Don't put too much on, or you'll look like a clown. Besides, the rest of your outfit sounds gorgeous, so you shouldn't have to worry about your makeup too much. Just put on some light lip gloss, a little foundation, and maybe some silver eyeshadow. That should probably be enough. Have fun at your prom!

this link has some really good advice. My friend did her makeup like this, and was the belle of the ball!!
Reply:Dust a light silver, shimmering shade over the lids. Then brush a dark gray shade in a half moon from your lashes to just above the crease to add depth. To line your eyes press the pencil onto your eyelid, staying close to the lashes.

together. Use a rich black shade eyeliner.

Dust a light shade of lilac over the lids . Then brush a darker shade of blue from your lashes to just above the crease. Then line withhh with black eyeliner. Ohh andd to make it looks sexy add some silver to the ends of ur eyelids
Reply:Since you are very young do not apply heavy makeup to yourself.

By the way that you are describing yourself and the dress that you will wear, I would suggest a very light mauve eye Shadow a touch of white , and a light pink lipstick. About the jewellery ! if you could find a tiny stone to match either the purple or the aqua of your dress that would look nice !

I assume that you are wearing a light coloured shoe with a matching clutch !

I think that you will have a very fresh and feminine look!

Have fun!
Reply:Not sure how to tell you how to wear your make up for that night. But I can tell you, practice, practice, practice. So when the night comes you exactaly how it will be applied. I know at the drug stores you can get some 3-4color palets. Pick one that will be a compliment to your dress color. I wouldn't go with blue. Soft purple/silver/yellow/sage are some good picks. Eye liner for bottom will really make your eyes stand out. Have you ever used false eyelashes? You might want to try those out. Physians makes a real nice "rose" palet and a wonderful silver/black palet. Remember, light color from lash line to brow..blend in...then in the corner of lid, the darker color. In the inner corner also if you want a smokey look. Or a totally different color on lid to add to the look. I wish I could show you this. Hope this helps. PRACTICE!!
