What color bridesmaid dresses and bouquets?

I am getting married next August and I can not decide on what colors I should use for the bridesmaids dresses and bouquets. My favorite color is a dark blue but that is not a summer color. I am also doing everything rose themed so all flowers will be roses. And I want red roses definately apart of the bouquets. I just can not figure out what other colors to incorporate around the rose. Please help.

What color bridesmaid dresses and bouquets?
I just got married in April and my bridesmaid dresses were cream with dark brown sashes. My flowers were different colors of roses, reds and pinks. It really looked great and I received a lot of compliments.

Congrats!
Reply:i really dont like black bridesmaid dresses in summer...my BM dresses are cornflower blue (look on davids bridal website) maybe if you did a color like that you could use a variety of rose colors ...they can even dye roses for you in a dark blue color and you can mix them with white it would be very pretty. good luck and congrats
Reply:Who cares if blue isn't a 'summer color'. I'm getting married at the end of September and my colors are royal blue and lilac. Shoot, do whatever you like. My dream colors were, royal blue and burgandy, but then I realized my wedding would be red, white, and blue. :) That would be fine if I was marrying someone in the service. :) But I'm not. But anyway, if you like it go for it. It's your wedding, and twenty years from now you're the one that going to care what colors you had, so have the colors you like.
Reply:Go with shades of blue, with dark blue as your small accent colour. It can be quite summery if you use marine blue, aqua, etc. - and red roses would be nice with them.
Reply:You could use a dark blue with rust. Those are beautiful colors together. Instead of red roses why not try a orangish red rose think like a sunset red. That way you get to use your favorite color, a new color and still have it all work around the rose (just in a different hue)
Reply:I'm getting married in Sept. and my color is burgundy. Not sure how the red roses will look though. Champagne might look nice!

wish you be a beautiful bride.
Reply:my vote. make it classy and have red roses with black bridesmaid dresses (your friends can wear them again) and with you wearing white it will be very very chic.
Reply:I would chose black dresses. They are so classic and red rose bouquets would look very elegant against a black dress. I also have heard that pictures when the bridal party is wearing black turn out stunning.
Reply:Use red as your color, red roses go great with that. I had blue in April, it was great. I had blue silk roses and white ones. With roses, I would suggest white and greenery.
Reply:who cares if blue isnt a summer colour maybe go a slightly lighter blue, but blue and red dont work together that well.

work with the red roses and incorporate a cream, then have your brides maids in black
Reply:Use the dark blue as an accent. Go with a lighter blue for the bridesmaids or even white dresses with dark blue sashes. If you go with the white %26amp; blue you can use just about any color flower.

You can use just plain red roses grouped tightly together with a ribbon -- or use red and pink roses with white daisy's. Incorporate the pink or pale yellow, pale purple if you don't want to look so patriotic. Red roses, Sunflowers, purple stock and white baby carnation nosegays would look very summery.
