I am not talking about romance, I am asking for symbols of romanticism...I have already found the blue flower, and I was wondering if there is anymore, I am having a hard time finding some.
What are some symbols of romanticism?
In painting intense battle scenes or big crowds, with faces full of emotion, in landscape painting breathtaking panoramas, big mountains, cliffs that give you a sense of the infinite.
Also graveyards, lonely figures with their backs to us, isolated places, mist etc. Romantic painters also liked to use chiaroscuro (light vs darkness).
One of the most famous romantic painters was Fransisco Goya. If you type his name in google images, you'll see some of his paintings.
