Need your help! I have everything else picked out but the flowers.?

I want to do blue flowers. Maybe champagne and blue for me. The bridemaids dresses are bronze with a creme sash. The bronze looks more like a latte though.

I want to do dark blue roses on the guys. I want my bouqet to be blue and champagne. I also like the flowers with a pearl in the middle. Need help for the bridesmaid. Maybe all blue?

Does anyone have any pics to send me. Tried the knot for flowers but not a good selection for blue flowers.

Blue hydrangeas are really pretty and will like nice for your attendants. Here is a link to a picture of one:

Happy Wedding Day!
Reply:I used light blue hydrangeas, white roses, and stephanotis (white flowers with pearls, although I used crystals.)

I have sent you link so you can see what they looked like.

I didn't know you don't like hydrandeas so I went and found some other photos. Maybe silk flowers will be better for you? You have chosen probably two of the hardest colors to find in flowers. If nothing else, set up a meeting with a florists and they can give you ideas. After all, they are familiar with flowers and available colors.

Reply:Delft-blue hyacinths would be a great choice for blue either that or lavender which would smell wonderful. For men's boutinerre you need to go with a flower that is in your arrangement, Iris is a good one you can add that to yours and then a single iris would look great and masculine for the guys. Hope it helps, you can google blue flowers and pictures of these will come up. Congrats on your wedding.
Reply:Hi. You can't get dark blue roses. There are no blue roses. And if you can find some silk ones, they will REALLY look fake because there are no true blue roses.

Are you doing silks? Why not a red rose? That would look nice with the bridesmaids dresses as well as for the guys boutonnieres. For you...I would do a mix of ivory/white and some red roses.

If you are going with fresh flowers...simply visit a florist and tell them what you want and look through their books. They have pages and pages of weddings that they have done and they can recommend flowers that will look good with your dress as well as the bridesmaids dresses.

Good luck!
Reply:I think blue flowers would be great, I had my bridesmaids all pick thier own flowers for their bouquets and the one who had carnations I think were the prettiest. Check out my myspace amylovescalvin and there is a pick of my wedding party. The only thing I have to say is DONT pick the same color flower as dress, they blend in and dont pop like a contrasting color would. That is my only regret from mine!
Reply:There really aren't that many natural blue flowers. You may have to talk to a florist that can tell you what flowers they can dye blue, ususally they can do that with most white flowers. The flowers with the pearl in the middle are stephanotis if that helps. There are some pretty blue hydrangeas you can get but I'm not sure if that's the shade you are looking for. Talk to a florist about dying them the way you want. Personally, it sounds like A LOT of blue to me, maybe mix in some ivory or champagne, that will lessen the cost.
Reply:Blue flowers aren't common in nature, but you might try irises, violets and dyed blue carnations. Painted daisies can be done in blue and some chrysanthemums as well. You might also try some deep purples with your blues. They'd go with your colors well and be a good accent. Plus they are easier to find. There are lots of lovely tulips in dark purples and lilacs come in deep purple as do irises. It sounds lovely.
