Brown and blue wedding colours?

My bridemaids are wearing and expresso brown dress. I was think of using some shade of blue as my secondary colour? what do you all think. What colour tuxs do you think the guys should wear? Is black to much? Has anyone else done these colours? Any feedback would be great. I can still change the colours





We are doing our wedding up north in the country on a lake. What kind of flowers should we do?? The wedding is in september

Reply:I am currently planning a wedding, I have a particular colour theme in mind similar to yours, only instead of brown and blue I am having three BMs in the same dress and different shades of shiny truffle like colours.



e.g. truffle brown, browny/dusky purple, browny/gold



the scheme goes well with my fairy cake idea instead of wedding cake



as for the tux - where going light/medium grey, white shirts and dusky purple tie thing and waist jacket (except groom who where white tie and jacket)



You could do a similar theme using blue(light blue?), you could give them blue accessories e.g. broaches or in the flowers



I think introducing Gold in there would be a good combo too especially for table deco and cake

Reply:I'm getting married in October, and I'm using Cobalt blue and chocolate brown for my colors! The girls are wearing the blue dresses w/ a choc. brown sash/bow around the waist. My tablecloths are ecru w/ choc. brown overlays. My flowers are all primary colors, red/white/yellow/blue w/ green accents w/ leaves/stems. I'm still undecided on the tux/suit color, I've had the same problem. I'll prob. stick with black or a dark charcoal. I think it will be beautiful! Hope this helps!

Reply:Brown and blue were our wedding colors. I found a brown lace dress with a blue underlay for the bridesmaids ($30 at Target - they no longer have it) and the groomsmen wore brown suits. My husband wore a black tux and of course, I wore white. We used a mixture of lisianthus and roses, all white, for the bouquets, white orchids for centerpieces and had blue hydrangeas as accent flowers for the gift table. We got married in November in Los Angeles, so I don't know if these flowers are available to you.
Reply:anne taylor has the blue and brown dresses... not as much a tiffany blue though... for bouquets check flowers like delphiniums, white callas and whote roses and dendronium.. a blue flower... might want to add some greens to it like bells of ireland..with brown like twigs..here arethe anne taylor dresses
