Evolvulus - Blue Daze? Do I need to trim/deadhead?

Hi everyone, I have a blue daze evlovulus that up intil a week ago was blloming just fine. Now I have no blooms and the stems are browny and woody looking, although the twigs are actually green inside. Did I over water? Underwater? Am I supposed to prune this flowering ground cover and if so, how? Does the evolvulus family only bloom during certain times? I am a novice gardener and need good easy advice to follow....

Evolvulus - Blue Daze? Do I need to trim/deadhead?
Evolvulus glomerata 'Blue Daze' stems will naturally harden and become woody with time. This may be nothing more than the plants natural progression. Blooming should be nearly continuous if you live in USDA cold hardiness zone 9 or above. This plant will not tolerate frosts. Full sun locations will produce the best blooming performance. Partial shade will reduce blooming. You should not need to deadhead this ground cover. Blue Daze does not tolerate wet soils. DO NOT over water. Over watering tends to promote fungal attacks in this plant. Over watering can easily promote root rots which can kill this plant. Test the soil before watering. If the top 2-3" of soil is dry but its moist below that, you can water. Otherwise wait before you water again. Provided this plant is healthy, blooming should resume again.
Reply:The sun exposure is all day sun. They like to have a well drained soil and not so much water, but do not have it dry out. It blooms all summer long.
