In Photoshop CS2, how do you make a formerly color image into a B&W one?

AND accentuate a certain item in the image, i.e a blue flower that retained its color, but with everything around it black and white? And please try to stay away from the desaturate tool.

theres somthing new with the cs2.. and that new thing is the quick selection tool... in order to access this.. you have to right click on the magic wand tool and select the quick select tool.. after this.. you can now select those objects that you want... after that you can go to the image %26gt;mode%26gt; gray scale.....

i recommend you to use cs3 coz its faster and better.... you can avail of a copy with me :D haha
Reply:Well If you go to your menu you can either go to image%26gt;Mode%26gt;Grayscale or you can change the top color in your color swatches on the toolbar to black the bottom to white and go to Image%26gt;Adjustments%26gt;Gradient Map
