Opinions on Chocolate Brown & Cobalt Blue Wedding Colors?? What month of the year would fit those colors?

I'm thinking of accenting with primary colors..

So I would do Cobalt/Chocolate dresses

Flowers- Red, Yellow, White, Blue, Green (with leaves) and tie with chocolate ribbon (for bridesmaids)

Table coverings chocolate, other colors as accents..

I think those are great colors. Definitely more July - September colors than spring. Spring is more muted (think pastels like easter.) So yes, those bold colors would go well with late summer. Also would work well for winter.

Reply:chocolate and cobalt blue would be beautiful any time of year, the chocolate would tone things down for winter but the blue would lighten things up for a spring/summer. However, i think the flowers with red and yellow is overdoing it. I would stick with the blue and whites (and the greens) and MAYBE a hint of yellow. However RED really doesn't fit in there..

Reply:You asked for the opinion, I think that sounds horrible! Brown and blue, that dark, just don't go. Maybe an aqua blue instead or pale blue but that duo is like oil and water.
Reply:Those are really trendy colors right now and tons of people are doing it so you won't have any trouble finding ideas. It works with pretty much every season......there is no rule that says you can only have pastels in Spring or that you must use browns in Fall.

Reply:I don't care for chocolate brown and cobalt blue as a wedding combination. The tones are too close together. If you choose one of those colors, I think it needs a lighter color for contrast: e.g. chocolate brown and cream, or cobalt blue and silver. And in the case of cobalt blue, it would work in combination with black as well.



If you want to coordinate the colors with the time of year, choose the time of year first and then select the color, not the other way around.
