What type of flowers should I use in a wedding with brown and ivory bridesmaids' dresses?

I just started planning my wedding and the first thing I've accomplished is picking out the bridesmaids' dresses. The colors of the dresses are brown and ivory. You can view the black and white version here: http://www.debshops.com/Fashion/ViewDeta...

I would like my color scheme to be brown and light pink or brown and blue... maybe? What type of flowers and decorations would look good with the dresses?

My wedding colors were brown and ivory! The flowers I used were calla lillies...I think that's the name in english. I got married in Mexico and the flower is called 'Alcatraz'. It looked beautiful because they are cream-colored...and unique.

Now, in answer to your question... I think a deep pink would look good with the dresses. As far as the type of flower would be best to use, I would need to know when your wedding is. By the looks of the dress I'm guessing spring or summer and I would say gerbera (sp?) daisies, and then for fall I would pick roses.

You don't say what time of year your wedding is-that makes a difference

Reply:i like the idea of the light pink or a deep gorgeous blue. you might want to think about some violet colors too because they would really pop against the brown. some lovely vibrant greens would be great, too. i would stay away from anything brown, yellow or orange you'll need something that really stands out. what a great choice for a dress.
