What wedding colors look good with sapphire blue?

i'm thinking maybe baby blue and silver but my mom says that its customary to have another color like yellow or pink to help make the flowers and decorations look "fuller?" better. Any ideas? the weddings in 3 months PLEASE HELP!!!!!

What wedding colors look good with sapphire blue?
Yes its true most people add in pink and yellows to add some depth to the color scheme. Yellow always looks nice. Since there aren't alot of blue flowers picking a color such as purple and yellow can look very nice. Another blue may look too washed out and if you do blue and silver or gold it may look a lil h.s. prom-ish. Sapphire Blue and an Opalescent white looks beauty. Like sapphires and pearls! Pearl themes look amazing. you can stick pearl pins into your flowers and put fake pearl strings on the tables. Email me if you need additional help
Reply:Get what makes you happy but a vibrant color such as red or deep pink or purple would be nice. Silver would be nice, but usually silver is saved for 25th anniversaries. I have seen really nice print mens cumberbunds and vests, if that is what the guys have go with the colors in there.
Reply:SKY BLU OR BURNT ORANGE
Reply:My advice would be to invest in a color wheel...I know, I know; sounds like an art project gone wrong, right?? Well, a color wheel will actually be able to help a TON!! Your friend cna pick one color she likes and go from there...picking 2, 3, 4 or even 5 colors that go really well together. This can be done with minimal effort and can be a lot of fun. Pick the color on the wheel that looks closest to your blue and go from there. Congrats!!
Reply:silver looks very pretty with blue. you should use white to fill the bouquet!! have fun!:)
Reply:A crisp bright white would be nice too! Silver is great, don't worry about your mom......
Reply:To be honest pick anything you want the flowers are the florists problem. A lot of brides only pick one colour. If you want another one try using another jewel tone I have seen blue with Burgundy or green both are nice. I like the blue with silver it works at Christmas.

I used pastel blue and lettuce green(Alfred Angelo colour) myself.
Reply:dont panic! :) i've got loads of ideas.. personally i dont like baby blue and silver with it.. here are my ideas:

~ (your blue), mid green, sea green and powder blue

~ (your blue), navy, deep burgundy and pale beige

~ (your blue), periwinkle, dark lavendar and grey beige

~ (your blue), forest green, turquoise and lime green

~ (your blue), jade, eau de nil and mustard

hope you like them :) have a great wedding and enjoy the rest of your lives together x
Reply:A light orange colour but not so light that it looks pink.

This is going to be difficult to find but give it a shot. If you can't find an orange that suits the blue of a sapphire then try to come up with some warm colours that will compliment the blue.

Congratulations on your wedding darlin, and God's blessing on your marriage.
Reply:ok the filler colors went out with the 80's...your ideas about the ice tones are actually spot on, even a deep red would do a royal saphire justice, PINK yello and others are bad bad bad... as far as flowers go with saphire blue the only choice should be black magic roses and white gardenias. its classy chic and beauty....filler flowers are cheap! dont go cheap! remember 40 percent of the bridal budget is flowers and decor, 40 percent food and booze 20 percent extras, most important wedding items, flowers food booze and good music
Reply:I would do silver and just get white and dyed blue roses. adding another colour takes away from the blue. I did pink and silver...thats it thats all. none of this 3 different wedding colour crap some people do. its a wedding...not a circus.
Reply:Try the color ivory

Reply:Chocolate brown %26amp; sapphire look amazing together. That's what I'm seeing a lot of in wedding trends for this year. You could try a mix of the sapphire, chocolate brown, and white accents to really make it stand out. I wouldn't do yellow %26amp; blue-it's less wedding, more graduation...Hope this helps, good luck!!
Reply:well dark colors won't make your flower decoration look fuller.

try yellow or white. pink won't make it fuller but prettier.
Reply:Actually, the idea of mixing colors is very modern. Years ago, weddings did not include color, it was poor ettiquette. Then brides started adding a color to add more interest. Only in recent years have brides become interested in complete color palletes. That being said, a color pallette can be:

- a combination of different hues of one color

- a main color with contrasting colors for interest

- a main color with complimentary colors

So, ANY combination of colors is all right: even if that means a combination of blues:)
