Are there any ways to give my room a new look?

im a 14 year old girl and i like to keep my room a nice place to get away from it all. I like to keep it fresh and as contemporary as possible. Besides repainting it or changing around the furniture are there any other ways i can give it a new look? Like little things? My room is sky blue and has a flower pattern incorporated into it. Reply:Repainting or rearranging your furniture would be the most typical way to change things up. You may consider, if your parents are cool with it, go to the home improvement store and find some mistints at the paint counter. You can usually get some pretty cool colors for about $5-$10 for a gallon of paint. You can try painting one wall a different color.



Another option, try something cool for a window treatment. Drapes, beads, grass skirt or even ropelights.



Then there's the accessories for your bed. Try out a few different pillows. It's amazing how different fabrics can change the look and feel of a room. You might even consider taking up sewing. Try to see if anyone you know has a sewing machine and if they would be willing to teach you.
