Ok went to florist and expo this weekend, still confused on flowers?
You CAN get light blue hydrangeas, but the florist is right--hydrangeas need to be well hydrated otherwise they wilt and die fast. See if they can make your bouquets with hydrangeas and have the ends in the plastic tubes with water in them to keep them hydrated--you can always gather the flowers together and try to cover the tubes by wrapping the stems in ribbon.

Reply:there is no reason to be charged $50 for a fake flower, you can get them at the craft store yourself.

Reply:OK, don't take this the wrong way, but I had a bit of trouble following your details.
When you say the woman said the flowers would "dye", did you mean they would "die", as in the flowers would be dead; or they would need to "dye" the flowers, as in to make them a different color?
Also, and this is just my opinion based on what I could get out of your details, I think you should get whatever flowers you want for your wedding.
Reply:I have never heard of that before. I have seen a lot of brides use hydragea's in their bouquet. Maybe you can think about adding another flower-perhaps that is what she was suggesting.
But, if you want real hydrageas then someone should be able to do that for you. I recommend you check with another florist.
